A number of volunteer positions are available all year long. Others become available throughout the year.

Position
 Description

 Kettle Worker

(Seasonal Position - Nov/Dec) 

If you are willing to man one of our 12 kettle locations during the Christmas season - providing thanks to our donors, distributing small gifts and literature, ensuring the security of the donations etc - please register as a volunteer. Various shifts are available and will be agreed with the Kettle Coordinator.

Toy & Turkey Helpers

(Seasonal Position - Nov/Dec)

If you are willing to help us sort out and/or pack toys and turkeys for our Toy & Turkey drive, please register as a volunteer.

Van Driver/Helper

(Seasonal & Casual Positions Available)

If you are willing to drive a van to pick up donation items (food/toys etc.) please register as a volunteer. The 'Helper' position involves travelling with the driver and helping to lift & carry donated
Emergency Disaster Services Volunteers
If you are interested in joining one of our Emergency Disaster teams, please register as a volunteer. This role has various duties and requirements - as dictated by the specific disaster being dealt with at the time, but it generally would involve providing food and refreshments to victims and emergency services staff at the scene of a disaster situation. Specific training and screening may be required.

Hope Café Volunteers

If you are interested in cooking, or assisting in the kitchen, for our Hope Café, please register as a volunteer. You may just be interested in being a 'friendly face' who is willing to sit and chat to our clients. That is great too. Specific training and screening may be required.

School Breakfast Program Volunteers 

(Weekdays, term-time)

 If you are willing to prepare food/sandwiches for about 50 school children, please reigister as a volunteer. The food is required every weekday during the school year. If you can offer 2 hours one morning a week, or more - that would be awesome!
Special Event Workers
If you are willing to help out with the organisation or presentation of a special event, please register as a volunteer. Specific training and screening may be required.  Throughout the year we put on various special events - eg. Fall Fair, Breakfast With Santa, Saint Patrick's Nite etc. Your help in making these events an enjoyable success would be appreciated.

Administrative Duties

(Casual Position)

 From time to time we need assistance with administrative duties. This could be undertaing small projects in the admin office or helping in our Community & Family Services with registrations etc. If you are able to help with this type of work please register as a volunteer.


Volunteer Positions Available at 

Hope Community Church

Position
 Discription
 Musicians
If you are interested in sharing your musical skills, please register as a volunteer. We are particulary interested in brass players and piano/keyboard players who are not only willing to perform at church services or special events, but also willing to teach learners as well.
Community Cares Ministries Volunteers 
If you are interested in visiting the elderly or hospitalised please register as a volunteer. We are especially interested in volunteers who are able/willing to lead worship services in seniors homes.
 Van Driver/ Helper
Do you have a class 4 licence and are willing to drive a mini-bus or passenger van to pick up & return vunerable persons, enabling them to attend various programs, please register as a volunteer. The 'Helper' would simply travel with the driver and assit passengers on/off the vehicle *Important* A police check and training for working with vulnerable persons is required for this position.
